Sparrow House Ministries is located in Lamar, Colorado. We are a faith-based ministry that provides emergency food assistance, while offering encouragement to the less fortunate in our community. On a monthly basis, approximately 1500 people are served from Prowers County and the extending rural areas.

Our clients come to us from varying backgrounds and situations. Some are working families just trying to make ends meet, some are addicts, some are single parents trying to keep up, some are homeless, some are elderly or disabled. Regardless of their situations we believe that every person is valuable and needs love, attention, and the basic necessities of food, shelter, and clothing.

“What is the value of your soul to God? Could your worth be defined by an amount of money?

God doesn’t abandon or forget even the small sparrow he has made.

How then could he forget or abandon you? What about the seemingly minor issues of your life?

Do they matter to God? Of course they do!

So you never need to worry, for you are more valuable to God than anything else in this world."
